phone interview!
Dec. 12th, 2018 01:56 pmmy interview with the company i hope to intern for is due to start in a few minutes! i'm so nervous, i haven't had any kind of interview since i got last summer's job. and that was at macy's, this is a real publishing house!
they make children's books with a life-lesson / virtue-teaching bent, some of which have christian content. i'm not religious myself, but their message seems pretty good! they have lots of books with diverse characters and subjects, and a few of their more religious books have a distinct progressive bent to them-- there's a book of bible stories focusing on powerful women, for example, and a keepsake picture book about bringing home a new baby that they advertise as accommodating for both biological and adopted children.
they actually have two versions of the 'cool women of the bible' book, one for young readers and one for older kids, and i kind of really want to read them.
