Do they really? I've never heard of daemons outside of that one series, so I just figured I wouldn't get it if I hadn't read the books.
I've seen Pride and Prejudice, but not read it. I think this is the far more manageable option--I tried to read the book once, and the prose was dense like a pound cake. But then I always find it hard to read fiction over 100 years old-- from before the invention of pacing, I say. Movie's good.
