last night
Dec. 15th, 2018 12:59 pmlast night was really fantastic--i had so much fun!
i went to my last session of my d&d campaign, and i was really excited to see what would happen. and i wasn't disappointed at all (because my dm is wonderful and has never once let me down)! we took down the big boss by working collaboratively to toss him into a magical trash can made of swords. i'm particularly proud of myself and my boy cyril, as he's the one who cast the trash can (blade barrier).
we all did epilogues afterward. cyril caught the first ship to his home city and, with the help of most of his friends (the one of them got pressed into service for a demon after making a bad bargain) dug up his dead husband and resurrected him, which had been the goal all along. and then we spent a million years talking about their found family--how they have dinner parties all the time, and how cyril and his husband adopted some children, and their shenanigans with all of their Weird Aunts And Uncles. including the one who serves the demon now--he pops in from a few planes over to attend christmases and birthdays.
and then people started going to bed, but my dm, my boyfriend, and i stayed up late laughing uncontrollably about the stupidest things. and it was nice.
and i suppose it's a little sappy but all of this means a lot to me. i didn't really have any friends my first couple years of college--not anybody i really, honestly liked, or if i did, i didn't get to hang out with them on a regular basis. but now i have a nice group of buds that i can play games with, or just enjoy talking to.
and that's great.
