taking cues from coyoteclaw11, i decided to try ellimist's trope sorter! it was really fun--i sped through +- 150 questions in a hot minute.

maybe i'll use this as inspiration to write some fic!

i never got into this sort of thing--though i really don't have anything against it conceptually!

again, not a bad concept! i've just never read the golden compass, so i don't really get it.

37. 'Everyone is Evil'/Mirrorverse AU
okay, this is one i actually don't like. sue me.


one thing--i've never actually read a pride and prejudice au, so it didn't turn up in my top five, but that concept is right the fuck up my alley.

Stealing! LOL, we appear to be on the opposite sides. I rather like the bottom 4 of your bottom 5 tropes (why specifically Golden Compass? D(a)emons come from many sources, in all shapes and forms... ;), and I don't care much for your #1, #4 and #5. I have no opinion on Pride and Prejudice because I've never read the original book (should I?)

"jk rowling is really souring the hp milk for me right now" a mood,,, but I kinda just stick my head in the proverbial sand (if said sand was exclusively fan-created content). I can't do anything Fantastic Beasts-related tho, even the fan stuff. JK had already gone about mucking things up by the time that dropped, and there's just... so much that fundamentally bothers me about the setting... (like rly JK why are you even writing about the American Wizarding world when you obviously know little to nothing about America???)

Yes!! It's rly interesting reading something so oddly specific from someone who's obvsly rly knowledgeable about it! It's like sitting in a class where the teacher is obviously so passionate about the subject and will often go off on further tangents about it (and it's always more interesting than the assigned learning dfghj)
